Watching a cricket match when Pakistan is batting !!!

There was a time when Pakistan cricket team was an other name of zeal, a glory, a marvel and above all unbeatable both at ground and social level. But the history repeats itself,  same happened with the green ions. The past comes in front of the green fans when the march starts. But our team proves it other way most of the times.

With a new determination, will, ambition, hope, expectation and above all prayers, we start watching the match. But all of  sudden the match starts going away, our hopes, expectations, and performances start going low. And the match continues ball to ball. It happens most of the times. But at few times all of a sudden some one comes up from no where and saves the history and fans are stunned to watch the glory of savior.

But miracles do not happen so often. So fans have to be very precise and careful while building their pile of expectations.

The thing is that cricket has been modernized by the induction of latest technologies and techniques of batting, bowling, fielding, judging and fixing. But we are still very much confident of going along the modern cricket trends while having no know how of modern trends and techniques. The result is in the form of lack of consistency both in bowling and batting, player temperament, behaviors at ground and most important the team spirit.

No doubt we have done wonders in the past. But now either stop watching cricket while Pakistan cricket team is playing or stand up ad bring a change.

Few Words For Muhammad Hafeez and Misbah Ul Haq!!!

Pakistan Cricket team has been performing low in the South Africa. There has been said and recommended a lot regarding the problems which they were going to face and could not be avoided. But when my TV got switched on automatically few seconds before and came across the latest match situation, I could not stop myself from writing these words. I know these words can not bring about any remarkable change but still I will write because I love this team Pakistan and this game.

Before this tour of national cricket team, I came across a very good anaalysis and few comments about Pakistan Cricket Tean and their test match approach by legendary Wasim Akram. He said that Pakistani team can perform very well in South Africa if they avoided Pakistani approach. Pakistani approach means the shot seletion according to Asian conditions.

Since the conditions in South Africa are quite different and Asians are not used to such conditions. So were obviously going to face the adjustement problems. Secondly our team got very less time to practice aand understand the conditions. So the bowlers performed satisfactory but the batting line collapsed and they were bowled out for the shortest score of Pakistani cricket history.

The next thing was the batting approach of our team. They had been playing the limited overs game since long so they had to practice for test match approach and the long time game temperament but they did not which played its role and the poor short selection and good bowling show by South Africa made them out quietly.

My dear Muhammad Hafeez! This is not T20. Please work on your temperament. You got hell of potential but this is of no use if you do not utilize it at proper timing in a precise way. Secondly this is not a game which  we play for the sake of game. This is bllod running in the veins of this poor but passionate nation. So concentrate on what is expected from you.

Misbah Ul Haq has proved his metal time and again but every thing got some specific time. Perhaps the end is knocking at your door. So make it suplended not conventional like every Pakistani. Hope you understand what I mean !!! Good Luck Pakistan !!!

SAF U-16 Football final between rivals Pakistan Vs India

This is indeed matter to great pleasure and concern that Pakistan U-16 football team has qualified for the final of SAF football championship. Congrats to every Pakistani and the national team. This is in fact going to be a very tough competition. Pakistan has been marvelous so far. But India has also shown some spark and managed to grasp the finalist place.

The New Face of Central Contracts seems nice with retainership

Pakistan cricket board finally announced the central contracts. The total of 23 cricketers were given central contracts. These players have been divided into three categories as A,B and C. These categories get the pay as follows:

Category A: 250000 PKR per month
Category B: 175000 PKR per month
Category C: 125000 PKR per month
Retainer ship: 50000 PKR per month

These are the regular categories. The move played by Pakistan cricket board which has been welcomed by all cricket and cricket analysts is the retainer ship program offered  by PCB to 5 players who performed very well in domestic cricket but could not get their place in central contracts. These are the mostly the players who performed in Faisal Bank t20 tournament.

Six players have been given central contracts i.e. Muhammmad Hafeez, Saeed Ajmal, Abdul Rehman, Younas Khan, Umer Gul and Misbah Ul haq. The players included in Category B are Taufeeq Umer, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Abdul Razzaq, Umer Akmal, Imran Farhat, Sohail Tanveer, Asad Shafiq, Wahab Riaz. Where as the catagory C includes Junaid Khan, Tanveer Ahmed, Hammad Azam, Sarfraz Ahmed, Sohail Khan, Adnan Akmal, Yasir Shah, Ramiz Raja and Sharjeel Khan.

It was in air that Abdul Razzaq has been dropped from central contracts and has been asked to retire from international cricket.  Chairman PCB also stated that he should leave international cricket now. But this is his good luck or what so ever should be called that he is now a days in England playing the county league. He proved himself in league both with bat and ball.

The dropped players include kamran akmal, ahmed shahzad, Muhammad yousaf and Danish kaneria and Shahid Afridi. Kamran akmal, Muhammad Yousaf, Ahmad Shahzad annd Danish Kaneria have been dropped due to bad form. Where as Shahid Afridi has been dropped due to retirement. Danish got some clearance issues with board.

The thing worth mentioning is the awarding of retainer ship which has been welcomed by all cricketers and fans. This can be the start of a new era in Pakistan cricket. That is what I and all others in Pakistan want. Good Luck Pakistan cricket. Allah bless Pakistan.

Finally Shoaib Malik Is Back

Shoaib Malik who has been a sensational players in all formats of cricket was over looked for the last many months but now he is all set to make a come back in the national side. This statement can be easily verified by the late announcement of central contracts and the Shoaib Malik practicingvery hard in the national cricket academy.

The 90,000 pounds trivia kept him away from international cricket after he married to an Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. But these things are in the way when you make some huge leap like this. But now is preparing to make a come back by being selected for the recent Zimbabwe tour. He is preparing very hard in the national cricket academy and stated that he eyed on his come back and nothing else.

He used to play for national bank in the domestic cricket leagues. But the recent move to leave National Bank to PIA seems one of the steps taken for his come back. If he comes back, this would surely be a nice step for cricket in Pakistan.  Because the feudal policies of Ijaz Butt took many cricketers away from International cricket. Few to be mentioned are Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Rana Naveed, Azhar Mehmood. All of them are playing in English county league and booming the county league with both ball and bat. But PCB feels shy in recalling these lost treasures. What a pathetic era, Pakistan cricket is passing through.

The need of the time is to encourage all those steps which motivate seniot players to come back and make a combination of young blood and experience. This would be better for Pakistan cricket. Other wise, we are already in deep shit. Allah bless Pakistan cricket.

Shahid Afridi on fire against PCB

Shahid Afridi who has been out of team for a long time now, announced an emotional retirement from international cricket, and very busy in booming English County and will be joining Big Bash after this county league, is on fire now a days against Pakistan cricket board. He had been stating few words for the board in a silent tone  few days back, but now both sides seem red hot.

The story relates the recent past when Afridi signed a petition against PCB and the deal was signed between PCB and Afridi to play the county and he took back his petition. He was fined Rs .45 million but PCB did not feel itself satisfied. Chairman PCB again started stating in a different and a bit violent tone. Afridi has served under this establishment so he replied in a bit silent tone.

But the situation became worse when PCB officials as a whole starting talking about Afridi and made the board ego centric. Right now, both sides seem very busy in replying to each other in the same tone and nobody is thinking about what this situation can come out with. For example, Shahid Afridi stated yesterday in his statements;

1. The ex cricketers are always at the front when it comes to criticize PCB, but when they get certain job or any other mean of money from board, they become silent.
2. I can't be silent after seeing this hypocrisy.
3. They must tell to the poor nation what is right and what is wrong. 
4. Waqar Younas must take a few courses to know how to coach in a better way.
5. He must also learn about how to be in touch and deal with players.

and so many more.

Afridi is very busy in commenting about PCB and its officials, at the same time officials are very busy in making the situation worse by becoming ego centric.

The demand of time is to bring it to some suitable solution. This is actually a matter of great concern for all ex cricketers and the whole nation because both parties are asset of Pakistan and we have to own them and take to some better solution which is acceptable to both parties. Otherwise Pakistan cricket is already in deep shit, and as the time passes, it is going to suffer more and more.
